FEI Sponsors 2009 Cancer Council "Ladies High Tea" |

FEI were the proud supporters of the 2009 charity morning tea for the Cancer Council in Queensland held on Tuesday. The annual Ladies High Tea is held at the beautiful Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Spa each year, and this is the third year this event has been held. All the proceeds go to research to find cures for not only breast cancer, but all types of cancers that afflict women.
The theme is always pink, and FEI were major sponsors for this year's event, creating and donating 200 sets of special pink-glazed Avantgarde cups, saucers and plates made especially for this event at our factory in China. FEI also donated a Versace Medusa Blue showplate for the auction which sold for $290.00.
The event was held in the coffee shop overlooking the tropical gardens and pool, and the tables looked amazing set with the pink chinaware and the beautiful pink floral centrepieces. There was also a pink chocolate fountain along with a delicious array of sandwiches, cakes, pastries and desserts.
Aerial Angels (two beautiful young ladies dressed as angels but way up high on stilts) were there to greet us with a pink rose for every lady in attendance. They wandered around high above the crowd amazing us all with their incredible balance.
The guest speaker was Kristy Prince, wife of Scott Prince, the captain of the Gold Coast Titans Rugby League Team. The MC was Nikki Hudson, former Captain of the Gold Medal winning Hockeyroos at the Sydney Olympics.
All in all it was a lovely morning for a great cause.
